Board approves 1% budget growth

ASBSD will use $80,000 from reserves to balance FY09 budget

ASBSD will spend association reserves to balance next year’s budget, the ASBSD Board of Directors decided during their May board meeting in Pierre.

The board approved a $2 million association budget for next year, a plan that includes a 1 percent increase in total revenue but requires more than $81,000 in association reserves.

During the budget hearing, ASBSD Chief Financial Officer Bill Lynch told board members that several shifts in association revenue and expenses created the shortfall.

ASBSD Northeast Region Director Joanne Groves discusses ASBSD's FY09 Budget during the May ASBSD Board of Directors meeting in Pierre.
