Associated School Boards of South Dakota is proud to work along side Governor M. Mike Rounds to recognize the contributions South Dakota school board members make to our state, local communities and public education systems.
January 11-15, 2010, was designated South Dakota School Board Recognition Week to recognize our more than 880 locally-elected school board members. This is your opportunity to build community awareness and understanding about the crucial role an elected board assumes in a representative democracy. Their commitment to service and public education affects the present and future lives of our children and our communities.
To help local school districts recognize school board members and celebrate public education, ASBSD has put together a resource kit complete with artwork, certificates and sample media materials.
