Delegate Assembly brings South Dakota school boards together, collectively voicing their opinion on the direction ASBSD should take - particularly in the advocacy area.

The ASBSD Delegate Assembly is the body that adopts ASBSD resolutions, which work to form ASBSD's Legislative platform. Potential resolutions are sent in by member districts, or submitted by the Policy and Resolutions committee - a committee made up of four members of the ASBSD Board of Directors. Each member district in good standing is allowed one voting Delegate.

November Delegate Assembly - November 16, 2007 - Pierre - Kings Inn

This year, Delegates will:

• Consider a change to the ASBSD Consitution and Bylaws; and
• Consider a slate of resolutions and standing positions; and
• Gather in regional caucuses to nominate individuals for a positions on the ASBSD Board of Directors.

Delegate Certification

All school districts must certify one delegate and one alternate 10 days prior to Delegate Assembly. This year, the deadline is November 6, 2007.
