Make plans now to attend the 2010 ASBSD and SASD Convention, South Dakota's largest education conference tailored specifically to school district leaders.
The ASBSD/SASD Convention features three inspiring general session speakers, more than 30 individual breakout sessions, the ASBSD/SASD Awards Banquet, a large exhibit hall and plenty of networking opportunities.
DATE, TIME AND LOCATION
The ASBSD and SASD Convention is scheduled for August 11-13 2009, at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Convention registration kicks off in the exhibit hall at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 11 and the first keynote presentation starts at 9:00 a.m.
REGISTRATION
The ASBSD and SASD Joint Convention is open to all school board members and administrators who are members of ASBSD and SASD. In addition, teachers and other staff from member districts are welcome to attend at member rates.
Registration fees include access to top-notch keynote speakers, breakout sessions, the exhibit hall and sponsored convention receptions. Fees also include continental breakfast on Thursday and Friday and lunch during the ASBSD/SASD Award Banquet on Thursday afternoon.

BOOKING HOTEL ROOMS
ASBSD and SASD have negotiated reduced rooming rates for conference-goers at the Sioux Falls Sheraton and the Sioux Falls Ramada Inn. In order to receive the discounted room rate, members must ask for the ASBSD/SASD Convention rate.
To access the discounted rates, rooms must be reserved by July 17, 2010. Both locations are now accepting reservations, but districts must register for convention by July 17, 2009, to ensure hotel reservations are honored.
