He has spent the last twenty years working with school districts, education associations, foundations, and chambers of commerce across the nation to halt the erosion of public trust and build support for America’s public schools.

Harvey Alston is considered one of the most dynamic speakers in America. His "Be the Best" mantra is reflected in his uplifting message of individual achievement, shared accomplishment and the dignity of human beings.
Alston, who will close convention with a Friday afternoon keynote, has won rave reviews from school board members across the country.

South Dakotan V.J. Smith rounds out the trio of keynote speakers. Smith, a well-known local speaking figure, offers a story about compassion and character.
His widely read book, titled The Richest Man in Town, serves as the basis for his inspirational message. Smith will deliver his keynote on Thursday evening.
